Every giant corporation or hit stock has its roots in a humble beginning, even technology moguls like Sony. In the world of hi-def the Sony Hd camcorder started out as an itty-bitty handheld camcorder with a stock whole and no definitive name. The Hdr-Fx1 was the world's first Sony Hd camcorder to hit the market, surfacing in October 2004. The Hdr-Hc1 HandyCam surfaced next, in July of 2005, as the world's smallest hand-held camcorder, only to surpass itself again three years later as the upgraded model, the Hdr-Tg1, also became the world's smallest hand held Sony Hd camcorder on the market. Since then, Sony's high definition camcorders have blossomed into a multi-product market, with modern camcorders of all shapes and sizes.

The Hdr-Fx1 was the first high definition camcorder to report the face of Sony's high definition camcorders. It looked and felt like a original camcorder, with the bulky lens shield and external controls. With the flip screen on the top, one could verily see the video being recorded and say any videos taken. It does not however, like some models, take photos as well as videos. It was entirely capable of switching in the middle of proper and high definition recording, and maxed out at 1,129 video pixels.

The Hdr-Hc1 came next, being the smallest hand held camcorder in the line of the Sony Hd camcorder products. This model had the same Lcd screen, but lacked the bulk and all the buttons for manual operate of the Hdr-Fx1. This model not only offers less vigor consumption as well video integrity thanks to a Cmos censor. Capable of taking still images as well as video, Sony made it potential to article Hd videos on proper definition mini-discs. The addition of Super SteadyShot® Image Stabilization ideas made it potential to take still frame photos without missing any of the operation and without all of the blur.

The Hdr-Tg1 is the Hdr-Hc1's tiny brother. It does not look much like a camcorder at all, in comparison with the rest of the Sony Hd camcorder products. It looks more like a hand tape recorder, but it does much more than that. Able to fit in a shirt pocket, this seriously mobile camcorder shoots video and still frame photos, and does so at 1920x1080 pixels. It records in Dolby Surround sound and is capable of filtering out noise so that each video is both visually and aurally crystal clear. It has the image stabilization also, but contains a feature called Dual Recording. This means that you can snap photos to an external expedient as well article video footage at the same time.

The Sony Hd camcorder has come a long way in just the last few years and has industrialized so much that one might be able to take videos, pictures, audio recording, and have the camera change into a director and tell you where to stand for the exquisite house photo. What does Sony have for us in the future? perhaps a camera operated by telepathy that snaps pictures when ever we see an chance to take a great one, eliminating those, "Oh, I wish I had a camera!" moments. We already have cameras that can take a fine photo of consuming objects and cameras that can tell when you are smiling. With any luck, Sony's line of high definition camcorders will continue to dominate the manufactures the world over.
